National Association of Man for Mankind (NAMM) is a registered voluntary organization established in 1993 as a youth initiative. The National Literacy Mission launched in 1988 by the Government of India to make 80 million people, was the factor of motivation. The young friends started volunteering to make people literate in their localities, in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. This initiative slowly motivated other educated youth who started joining their hands. The organization started taking a shape and finally registered in 1994.
We visualize an equitable society where men, women and children, especially from the marginalized sections can freely realize their full potential, fulfil their rights and perform their responsibilities, where everyone is leading their life with dignity and self-respect.
Our mission is to work towards integrated social development, ensuring sustainable livelihood options, exploring the areas of alternative livelihood and emphasizing the need of socio-economic reconstruction while focusing on community health and education.
